BYI  Re-Entry Plan

We are excited to be re-entering our synagogue, but this comes with some challenges. In order to help keep our Synagogue and city healthy, we would like to share with you our plans for a phased re-opening.

Phase I – For services starting on June 20th, we will meet with limited seating per the CDC guidelines. Please use discretion when deciding to watch online or attend in person.

We will send out an email on Monday, June 15th, with a link to sign up for reserved seating, so be watching for that if you plan on attending the June 20th service, which will be first come, first served.

PHASE ONE OF RE-ENTRY PLAN

SHABBAT, JUNE 20th – INDIVIDUAL SAFETY

Request Strict Social Distancing

  

  • Masks (optional but recommended)
  • Sanitizer stations
  • No handshakes/hugs
  • No nursery care or Shabbat School
  • Children stay in seats for prayer, Rabbi will pray from Bema
  • Offering by mail, PayPal, or drop off in Towers in Foyer prior to service
  • Spaced sanctuary seating
  • Limit of 3 people in the restroom at a time
  • Sick must stay home
  • All vulnerable individuals must stay home
  • Intense cleaning of high-touch areas
  • Water fountains will be unavailable – please bring your own water bottle

Once seating capacity is met after sign up, you will need to watch live stream at home.

Phase II – For services starting on June 27th, there will be limited seating and you must sign up to reserve a seat.
Please see emails for instructions, guidelines and to sign up to reserve seating.

We will send out an email on Monday, June 22nd, with a link to sign up for reserved seating, so be watching for that if you plan on attending the June 27th service, which will be first come, first served.

Starting SHABBAT, JUNE 27th – INDIVIDUAL SAFETY

PHASE TWO: TRANSITION

 INDIVIDUAL SAFETY  – RETURN to Moderate Safe Distancing

  • Sign up to reserve seats
  • Masks (optional but recommended)
  • Sanitizer stations
  • Handshakes/hugs (Wear a provided color sticker if you’re open to hugs/handshakes)
  • No nursery care or Shabbat School
  • Children stay in seats for prayer/blessing, Rabbi will pray from Bema
  • Offering by mail, PayPal, or drop off in Towers at sanctuary entrance prior to or after service
  • Spaced sanctuary seating
  • Limit of 3 people in the restroom at a time
  • Sick must stay home
  • Intense cleaning of high-touch areas
  • Water fountains will be unavailable – please bring your own water bottle
  • MiChamocha will be closed till further notice
